If You Get the Inside Joke, Woohoo!

Conversation I:

Me: I hate working at ______ Bank. It's hard for me to relate to most of the people there. I get along fine with most of them but i just can't connect with them. They're such different people, the way they think. I can't imagine how I would have turned out if I had gone to a local public university (THE HORROR!).

Friend: It's just like being in the scouts again.

Conversation II:

Me: I'm so nervous, handing in my resignation letter (Note: There are actual reasons why I'm not being a wuss here, at least on this occasion).

Colleague and confidante: You ain't a man till you resign from your first job.

Filthy Lucre

I have resigned. Working at a financial institution isn't for me. Though it might be an ideal and fulfilling career of some.

Shall elaborate more soon.

Life of Brian Quote - Copied and Pasted

Copied and pasted from IMDB. Was reminded of the many quotable quotes from the Life of Brian. Some of us could learn a thing or two from the film. If only...

Brian: No, no. Please, please please listen. I've got one or two things to say.
The Crowd: Tell us! Tell us both of them!
Brian: Look, you've got it all wrong. You don't need to follow me. You don't need to follow anybody! You've got to think for yourselves! You're all individuals!
The Crowd: Yes! We're all individuals!
Brian: You're all different!
The Crowd: Yes! We're all different!
Man in crowd: I'm not...
Man in crowd: Shhh!
Brian: You've all got to work it out for yourselves.
The Crowd: Yes! We've got to work it out for ourselves!
Brian: Exactly!
The Crowd: Tell us more!
Brian: No! That's the point! Don't let anyone tell you what to do! Otherwise - Ow! Ow!
